Local non-profit Commonpoint launches annual coat and toy drive to support Queens families in need

A Queens-based non-profit is bringing comfort and joy to local families during the colder months with its Coat and Toy Drive.

Commonpoint, a community-centered social services organization, has kicked off its annual Coat and Toy Drive to help community members in need during the holiday season.

The drive collects new toys for children ages 0-10 and gently used or new winter coats for all ages. Community members are encouraged to drop off donations at four Commonpoint locations across Queens.

Donations are now being accepted and can be dropped off at the following locations:

Commonpoint Sam Field Center | 58-20 Little Neck Parkway, Little Neck

Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Commonpoint Central Queens | 67-09 108th St., Forest Hills

Monday-Thursday 6 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Sunday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Commonpoint Bay Terrace Center | 212-00 23rd Ave, Bayside

Monday-Friday 7 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Commonpoint Queens Youth Opportunity Hub  | 82-17 Parsons Blvd., Jamaica

Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.

The distribution event is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Central Queens location at 67-09 108th St. in Forest Hills.

“As the need in our communities increases, each donation makes a huge difference in the lives of our most vulnerable,” said Commonpoint CEO Danielle Ellman. “Whether it’s a warm coat or a special toy to brighten the holidays, we hope you will join us and together, we can spread holiday joy.”
