Queens Together, a non-profit dedicated to fighting food insecurity and hunger, will host its third annual International Food Expo in Corona next week, bringing together more than 40 Queens-based restaurants.

The food expo will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, at the New York Hall of Science located at 47-01 111th St.

The event brings 40 delicious restaurants together under one roof to raise money for Queens Together, which has provided 400,000 people in Queens with meals and groceries since the non-profit was founded in 2020.

Guests at the upcoming food expo will be treated to a variety of culinary experiences from around the world, including Caribbean street food from Datz Deli in Hollis and Korean dumplings from Northern King Dumpling in Murray Hill.

Long Island City’s Québécois steakhouse M. Wells and critically acclaimed halal Bangladeshi spot Mezban House from Elmhurst will also be partaking in the event.

Thai restaurant Zaab Zaab—a three-star New York Times eatery based in Elmhurst—is arguably the standout of the illustrious list of Queens-based eateries. Newly opened Woodside bakery Masa Madre and Ridgewood’s Salty Lunch Lady will provide sweet treats at the event.

Tickets for the expo are $100, and VIP tickets are $150. VIP ticket holders are entitled to lounge access, express check-in, and “swag.”

The event also marks the debut of Alewife Brewing Company’s Queens Together Pilsner, a German-style beer created by Alewife, especially for the non-profit, with a portion of all can and keg sales going toward Queens Together’s food relief programming.

Alewife founded Patrick Donagher said he aimed to celebrate Queens’ diversity by creating a beer that pairs with a diverse range of foods.

“For a community as diverse as Queens, we wanted to create something that pairs well with everything from BBQ and pizza to spicy cuisines like Korean and Thai,” Donagher said in a statement. “I hope we can do good things with this beer. Anything we can do to help the hungry, we’re all in.”

Proceeds from next week’s food expo will also go toward Queens Together’s food relief efforts throughout Queens.
