Terror Strikes Main Street Merchants Again

In what appears to be a copycat crime of last weeks Wendys massacre, two armed men held up The Wiz electronic store across the street from the now infamous eatery Sunday, making off with thousands in cash.
However, in a stark divergence from the Wednesdays bloodbath that left five dead, and one in guarded condition, workers at Flushings Nobody Beats The Wiz were left unharmed.
Police say that Sunday morning at 1:15 p.m., two men believed to be in their twenties knocked on the door of the managers office in the back of the Wiz at 39-11 Main Street. When the manager and assistant manager opened the door, they were greeted with a man toting a semi automatic pistol.
In a chilling scene that played out much like the Wendys slaughter, the two gunmen bound the two employees hands and feet with duct tape before fleeing with nearly $20,000. Once notified of the robbery, a store employee chased the bandits through, losing sight of them in a nearby local parking garage.
A manager of Main Streets Blue Star supermarket said for the most part, his neighborhood was peaceful. "One of the things that I always loved about Flushing is all the ethnic groups got along and never collided," said the manager who requested anonymity.
"Its terrible," said Flushing resident Robert Alexander. "Ive been living in Flushing all of my life and you never expect anything like this to happen in your own backyard. Its frightening."
Customers at the Wiz were unaware that the store was being robbed.
