Mass Electric and Lamboy Chiropractic split first two games

Minor Division

Lamboy Chiropractic 6, Mass Electric 4.

Lamboy Chiropractic took an early 1-0 lead in the first period on a goal from Robert Pagono, his first of three goals scored on the night.

Mass Electric came back to tie the game at 1, but Lamboy Chiropractic went on to score three unanswered goals.

Joseph Favalora skated coast to coast and went top shelf on the Mass Electric goalie for his first of the year, and he added an assist on the game.

Dean Rodriquez added his first goal of the season and had an assist. John Sakelos scored a goal and played a very strong game at defense.

Dylan Rodriquez played his first game between the pipes and made one great save after another for his first win.

Mass Electric 7, Lamboy Chiropractic 6.

After falling behind 2-0, Jet Lem found the net for Mass Electric. It was the first of his four goals on the night. The first period ended with the score 2-2 on Lamboy goals by Frankie Gaizo and Dean Rodriguez.

Mass Electric’s Kyle Walsh buried the biscuit twice and Jimmy Huyhn added a goal to cap off the comeback.

Mass Electric had to hold off a furious comeback attempt by Lamboy in the final five minutes of the game.

Strong defense led by net minder Emily Becker as well as strong defensive play by Jared Labades, Christina Krupp and good forechecking by Kevin Reynoso helped lead Mass Electric to victory.

For Lamboy, Dean Rodriquez added two more goals and one assist. Joseph Favalora scored a goal and both Samantha Favalora and Maggie Todoro played a strong game.

Dylan Rodriquez played a good game protecting the net, making some key saves to keep Lamboy in the game.

Senior Division

Mattone Group 11, RCI 2.

In the first period Mattone’s Ed Johnston scored the first of his two goals with an assist from Robert Schule. Mike Liszka found the net three times and Derek LaMacchia and also contributed two goals.

Also scoring for Mattone were Anthony Yacavone, Robert Schule and Anthony Binanti. For RCI, Chrid Fioravanti, Alex Doulevaris and Doug Glendenan provided the offense with assists from Chris Weis and Keith Calix.

DG Mini Motors Start Season With a Bang

Mini Minor Division

In its first game of the season, Champion Construction played a great game. Sal Casabianca had three hits to go along with a great throw from the outfield and almost gunned down the runner.

Anthony Pirozzi and Danny Pagano both hit grand slams, and Joseph Favalora and Megan played a great defense to go along with some big hits.

Ranshaw Fuel Oil’s Cris Cook hit a line drive to score the game’s first run in the first inning. In the third inning Nicholas Kalantzopoulos made a great catch and shortstop Benny Mehovic had a great day, coach Marengo said.

Justin Katz did a find job covering the outfield, and Robert Bonelli caught a popup to end the game.

Thanks to sponsor Gary Bonelli for a fine job putting this team together and Mark Vieto for his valuable time helping the team.

Parsons & 20th Avenue Auto Care had a great game with all the players doing an excellent job. Jonathan Ragone and Patrick Reichert did a great job on the field, assisting each other to make several putouts in the game.

Philip Tiseo and Gerry Corrigan were terrific at the plate with multibase hits and great work on the field.

Nick Zito doubled his first at bat of the season.
