A tanker carrying 8,000 gallons of fuel flipped over on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) on January 16, closing lanes of traffic, disrupting service on the No. 7 line, and causing a temporary construction bridge to collapse. All lanes of traffic were opened in time for the following afternoon’s commute, and the 7 train was running on schedule. No one was injured in the incident.
