A jury found William Capehart, 19, of 98-25 Horace Harding Expressway in Corona guilty of second-degree murder, gang assault, robbery, tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a weapon, the DA said.The charges stemmed from an attack on 18-year-old Huang Chen, whom Brown described as a “hardworking teenager,” in Rochdale Village.Capehart faces 25 years to life in prison and will be sentenced on Feb. 23 by State Supreme Court Justice Robert Hanophy, DA Richard Brown said.The guilty verdict followed five hours of deliberations by the jury of eight men and four women.According to trial testimony, sometime after 10 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2004, Capehart, Charles Bryant and Nayquan Miller killed Chen inside Miller's residence at 168-24 127th St. in Rochdale Village, a co-operative apartment complex in south Jamaica. Chen had arrived at the apartment to deliver Chinese food. The three young men, Brown said, then dumped the victim's body in a pond in Brookville Park, a few miles away. Bryant, now 18, was convicted in March 2005 and is serving a sentence of 51 1/3 years to life. Miller, now 18, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was scheduled to be sentenced to 20 years to life later this month, according to Brown.
