HON. JOHN J. DURANTE

Hon. John J. Durante passed away recently. He was 95 years old. A retired Jurors County Clerk of Queens, Durante was also a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force and former chairman of the Queens Co. Republican Party. Husband of the late Josephine. Father of the late Loretta and Dr. Lawrence. He is survived by his daughter, Hon. Joan Marie Durante, retired justice of the Supreme Court. Arrangements were handled by the Hillebrand Funeral Home in Rego Park. A Mass of Christian burial was held at Our Lady of Hope RC Church. Interment was at St. John’s Cemetery.
