Death On The Tracks

A man was killed after being struck by the “R” train at the 74th Street/Roosevelt Avenue station on March 26. The victim, Arnulfo Espana, 53, a father of six from Mexico, was running for the train when he tripped, according to witnesses. He stumbled across the platform and came to rest with his head hanging onto the track area as the train pulled in. He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.
