NYSC inks lease at Atlas Park

Signifying its largest lease commitment yet, The Shops at Atlas Park announced that New York Sports Clubs (NYSC) has leased 27,406 square feet at the 400,000-square-foot lifestyle retail center, scheduled to open in less than 12 weeks. The leading owner and operator of fitness clubs has committed to a long-term lease with three five-year options.
NYSC expects to open its new one-level gym in the fall of 2006, in the same building as a Borders bookstore and a Chili’s restaurant.
The spacious one-level club will house state-of-the-art equipment, with over 60 pieces of cardio, three studios for aerobics, spinning, yoga / Pilates, and child care.
“We are very excited to be part of such an extraordinary project and to add another NYSC to our network of clubs,” said John Epifanio, Development Manager. “We envision a great marriage between The Shops at Atlas Park and NYSC. In addition to the stellar tenant roster, the site will offer ample parking, exposure to our target demographic, and convenient access from surrounding markets.”
The club will be a dynamic addition to the mix of major tenants at The Shops at Atlas Park in Glendale. The center will have Regal Cinemas as the entertainment anchor in conjunction with a variety of restaurants, both local and national, that encompass casual and fine dining concepts, while a local specialty food store will meet consumers’ everyday grocery shopping needs.
