Music series at LaGuardia

Joseito Mateo, the “the King of Merengue,” performed at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center as part of the 2006 Performance Planet, an international music series that celebrates the rich cultural diversity of Queens. LaGuardia Community College President Gail O. Mellow (not pictured) presented Mateo with a proclamation for his contribution to Latin music and honored Un Chin magazine, a Latino lifestyle magazine that covers art, fashion, music, entertainment, and current events.
