A fire broke out in Bob’s Tropical Pet Center on Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven overnight on August 6. The blaze then spread to three apartments and a restaurant next door. Many of the 100-150 pets in the store were rescued, and 11 firefighters were treated for minor injuries.
