Opt-In For School Buses
Parents, read this ALERT!
Thousands of Queens public school students are facing the loss of their school bus ride if their parents fail to fill out and submit and opt-in form by October 6 for the yellow bus program.
There are only two ways to submit the form - return the form brought home by your child or go online at https://www.opt-osfns.org/opt/ and submit it electronically.
So if you have not seen a form by the time you have read this editorial, go directly online and fill out the form RIGHT AWAY. If a parent does not fill out the form, the student will receive a Metro Card, according the Department of Education, and parents will have to wait until next year to reapply for school bus service.
