Autumn in the parks

The Parks and Recreation Department invites Queens residents to experience the magic of autumn in the city's parks. Fall's cool weather is perfect for enjoying the parks. The range of fall colors - oranges, reds and yellows provides a stunning backdrop for the various scheduled activities including:

• The Owl Prowl on Saturday, November 18, 10 to 11:30 a.m., held at the Urban Park Rangers Adventure Center, in Alley Pond Park.

• History of Fort Totten, lectures on Saturdays year-round from 2 to 3 p.m. Rangers conduct guided tours of Historic Fort Totten, including the 19th Century fortress, and a history of Fort Totten.
