Mr. Met pitched in to raise funds

New York Mets mascot, Mr. Met, kicked up his heels and danced with children of all ages at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island's annual &#8220Friends and Family” benefit in New Hyde Park last month. The event raised nearly $60,000 for the ‘home-away-from home' located on the campus of Schneider Children's Hospital which serves families caring for seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment in area hospitals. The house has served more than 9,500 families from the U.S. and 62 other countries since it opened in 1986.
