Authorities said Robinson Lopez, 34, of Queens and another man whose identity was not released were attacked at about 4:38 a.m. near the intersection of 83rd Street and Roosevelt Avenue. Police arrived at the scene of the attack after receiving a call of an assault and discovered Lopez with a stab wound in the torso and the other man, 33, who was stabbed in the stomach, authorities said.Both men were taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where Lopez was pronounced dead at 9:15 p.m., police said. The other man was listed in stable condition, authorities said.There were no arrests but police were looking for two men in their late 20s or early 30s who witnesses said were seen fleeing from the scene, authorities said. The 115th Precinct has seen an unusual amount of violence over the eight days that began Jan. 28 when a 17-year-old Elmhurst boy was shot in the stomach while struggling with an off-duty 115th Precinct officer near the intersection of 90th Street and 37th Avenue.The other incident was the attack Sunday allegedly by a Flushing man who was charged with beating a rookie 115th Precinct police officer with a baseball bat and stealing his gun and handcuffs, police said. He was arrested a block away, authorities said.On Dec. 6 a Corona man, Jorge Vazquez, was stabbed to death shortly after 4 a.m. allegedly by a group of four men who had just left a bar on Roosevelt Avenue in Corona.
