The JFK Rotary Club hosted its 25th annual JFK Runway Run on Sunday, April 22. The 5K race provides a unique opportunity for runners and walkers to participate in the only marathon that takes place on an actual airport runway. Since its inception in 1982, the event has raised thousands of dollars for local charities. Proceeds from this year’s race will benefit Rotary’s Gift of Life Foundation, Futures in Education, and the Spirit Haven Center Alternative Energy Project.
