Families can save on child care

Assemblymember William Scarborough hosted a Child Care Fair at Roy Wilkins Park recently which was also a kickoff for the Facilitated Enrollment Project in Queens, which can save working families substantial money through child care subsidies. Over 60 families applied for the new child care subsidies available for working families.
The New York Union Child Care Coalition has developed a pilot project for working parents to increase access to child care subsidies and quality care in New York City for children up to 13 years of age. A total of 31.3 million dollars has been allocated to serve families in the Bronx, Brooklyn, lower Manhattan and most recently Queens. This was the first time the project was offered in Queens.
