Women’s Day Awards honor 12

The Merrick Park Baptist Church held its Annual Women’s Day Awards on Saturday, June 2 at Antuns with a “Dressed for Ministry” fashion show.
Twelve church members were honored for their commitment, dedication and diligent service for many years as Captains of Women’s Day Teams for raising in excess of $50,000 for the church.
Iris Bishop, the Women’s Day Chair Lady, said the money raised will be used for a day care center and after school program.
Ultimately, they plan to start a school, a Christian Academy with a well rounded curriculum.
