Training a tot to ride a two-wheeler?
For a bit of help, parents can bring their children to Queensbridge Park for a Saturday afternoon event.
From 2 to 5 p.m. on July 14, Bike New York, Transportation Alternatives’ Western Queens Committee and Recycle-A-Bicycle will offer the class at the park, located at Vernon Boulevard and 41st Avenue.
“Parents can bring their children and their bikes and helmets for this free, fun event, and they’ll be amazed at how easily their children learn how to ride a two-wheeler,” said Hannah Borgeson, Communications Director for Bike New York. “It’s a great way to teach kids of any age one of the healthiest and most fun ways to get around.”
Although the class is free, parents and kids are asked to pre-register by visiting www.BikeNewYork.org or by calling 212-932-2453, Ext.159.
