Meeks presents Congressional Achievement Award

Congressmember Gregory Meeks presented a Congressional Achievement Award to 12-year-old Rosella Lawrence of Rosedale on Monday, June 25 at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Pictured are Lawrence, Meeks, and Monica Phillips, Lawrence's mother (far left). Lawrence has been in the hospital since May 10, when she was struck by a car, pinned against a utility pole, and nearly killed. Meeks gave the Achievement Award to Lawrence for her continued bravery and perseverance in the face of adversity.
