Battling Graffiti

Members of the Richmond Hill Block Association (RHBA), the 102nd Precinct, and the office of State Senator Serphin Maltese pose after an event to clean up graffiti in south Queens. The cleanup, sponsored by Maltese, RHBA, and the 102nd Precinct, covered areas of Woodhaven, Richmond Hill and Ozone Park, where graffiti, in the eyes of some, has become a major quality-of-life issue. The ongoing effort to rid neighborhoods of graffiti has become a weekly tradition for groups like RHBA and C.A.G.E. (Citizens Against Graffiti Everywhere).
