Rev. Msgr. Edward J. Nolan

Rev. Msgr. Edward J. Nolan, a faithful priest who served for more than 59 years in churches in Astoria and Queens Village, passed away on October 13.
Msgr. Nolan began his priestly journey on May 22, 1948. He served the Immaculate Conception Church in Astoria, Our Lady of Victory in Brooklyn, St. Jude’s Church in Brooklyn, and the Church of the Incarnation in Queens Village.
Msgr. Nolan also served as Chaplain of the N.Y.P.D. Housing Dept.
He was the beloved son of the late Mortimer and Margaret Nolan. Dear brother of Mortimer Nolan, the late James Nolan, and the late Sister Mary Lucy of the Sisters of Charity. Loving uncle of Marty, Billy, Danny, Jeannie, Jimmy, Dennis, Barbara Nolan Murphy, Tricie Nolan McAleer, and all their spouses and family, and the late Susie Nolan Lipe. Cherished brother-in-law of Bernadette and Catherine Nolan.
A vigil Mass was held at the R.C. Church of the Incarnation in Queens Village. Interment was at St. John’s Cemetery.
