Third-generation Eagle Scout

Senator Frank Padavan joins with Troop 142’s newest Eagle Scout, Joseph R. Sturcken, his father Kyle and mother Kathy, after the young Sturcken was promoted during an “Honor Court” ceremony, in the hall at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Bayside.
At the October 6 event, Padavan presented the Senate Medal of Achievement and a Certificate of Merit to the young man, in recognition of the achievement.
Sturcken continued a long-standing family tradition in scouting. His grandfather Raymond and father Kyle each attained the rank of Eagle Scout during their boyhood.
