From Queens to Venice

Queens Courier photographer Michelle Kawka recently went to Venice, Italy during Carnevale, a celebration much like Mardi Gras in New Orleans. For two weeks, the population of Venice nearly doubles, as people from around the globe walk around the Piazza San Marco in elaborate costumes and join in the parades.
