Honor Cop of the Month

At the 106th Precinct Community Council’s monthly meeting on October 8, Sergeant Maryann Connolly (center) was honored by Council President Frank Dardani (left) and Commanding Officer Captain Joseph G. Courtesis for taking the initiative and helping to apprehend a suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing. As reported in The Courier Sun, the suspect, identified by cops as Brian Wong, 20, fled northbound on Cross Bay Boulevard on foot before being apprehended by detectives of the 1st Precinct as he allegedly tried to board the Staten Island Ferry. Officers of the 106th Precinct say Connolly was instrumental in the arrest.
