RICHMOND HILL — A man was in critical condition Tuesday morning after his bicycle was struck by an MTA bus Monday afternoon, police said.
According to authorities, a man in his 60s was riding his bike northbound on Lefferts Boulevard at approximately 4:20 p.m. Police said the man pulled up alongside an MTA Q10 bus when he attempted to make a left turn in front of the bus and onto 85th Avenue.
The man, who was not identified, was struck by the bus and seriously injured, police said. EMS officials responded to the scene and transported the man to Jamaica Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, according to authorities.
No criminality is suspected in the incident.
