DA: Teen charged with attempted murder in intentional hit-and-run

The 19-year-old who allegedly ran down a rival after a dispute in Bayside has been charged with attempted murder, while his alleged victim remains in critical condition.
Cops say the incident happened on November 15, when, after a night of partying — and being thrown off the party bus on which the group of teens were celebrating a mutual friend’s 18th birthday — Anthony Vega climbed into a Honda Civic and struck 19-year-old Dimitri Arvanitogiannis, who friends say was in a parking lot in the vicinity of Corporal Kennedy Street and 32nd Avenue.
Vega fled the scene, according to cops, but turned himslef in to authorities later.
Arvanitogiannis was taken to New York Hospital Queens (NYHQ) in critical condition, reportedly with a collapsed lung, among other things.
Vega has been charged with attempted murder in the second degree, assault, reckless endangerment, menacing and reckless driving.
His bail has been set at $250,000 and his next court date is December 1.
