When this neighborhood theater, rich in history and remaining in the same location for over 30 years, was in need of a major revitalization, the five partners of Kramars Theater Corp. took Movieworld of Douglaston under its auspices and gave it new life. Today, the popular movie theater boasts all new seats and carpeting as well as the addition of a caf/ on site. The upgraded cinema features all new digital surround sound theaters and a bargain matinee at a cost of only six dollars before 5 p.m. seven days per week.
Among the theater’s many additions following the renovation is Caf/ D’Angelo’s in the main lobby. Open for snacks to enjoy during the shows, Caf/ De’Angelo’s serves up pizza, hot dogs, burgers, and crispy chicken club sandwiches. For a sweeter treat, cakes, pastries, tasty gelatos, Italian ices, premium ice cream, old fashioned egg creams, and red candy apples, to name a few, are sold. Hot beverages include coffee, cappuccino, tea and hot chocolate. The caf/ is available to rent for private events or special occasions, so inquire with the events manager for your next party or celebration.
Movieworld of Douglaston invites you to share the gift of the cinema with friends and loved ones. Gift cards are on sale at the theater, and the theater is popular for children’s birthday parties. Two packages are available for parties, including the Private Birthday Package or the Children’s Fun Package.
