Gang members attack student: Police

FRESH MEADOWS — A Queens student claimed he was assaulted by three gang members Friday morning, police said.

The unidentified teenager told officers he was approached by three Hispanic men in their teens near Utopia Parkway and Booth Memorial Avenue while he was on his way to school, according to police. One of the three approached the victim and swung at him, authorities said.

The trio, who the victim claimed were part of the MS−13 gang, had noticed that the student had a Sidekick cell phone and attempted to take it, but the victim got away, according to police.
