Kidz Care celebrates the holidays

The American Legion Hall and Kidz Care Junior Civic Association recently hosted their annual holiday party for kids in Forest Hills. The children enjoyed a visit from Santa, face painting and a special performance by P.S. 144 teacher Kathy Devine, who entertained them with story telling and festive holiday songs. Kidz Care started in May of 2004 with 10 kids, and it is growing strong with a current membership of 130 children. The organization performs volunteer work in the Forest Hills area including cleaning up parks, removing graffiti and shoveling snow.
