St. Agnes Academic High School, an all-girls’ school located in College Point, celebrated its 100th anniversary on Friday, December 5 at the Milleridge Cottage in Jericho. During the gala, the school honored the Sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville (accepted by Prioress Sister Mary Hughes); Catherine Blaney-Petralia, a 1982 graduate of the school who is the Executive Vice President of Development for the National September 11th Memorial & Museum; Maureen Martin-Fritch, a 1978 graduate and President of Fritch Construction Company; and Diana “Dee” Evans-Fetonte, a 1964 graduate and community volunteer. The honoree chairs of the gala were Mike Francesa, the WFAN radio personality; Barbara Hrbek-Zucker of the Donald & Barbara Zucker Family Foundation; and Georgiana Pugliese-Reese, a 1961 graduate of St. Agnes who is now with Queens County Savings Bank. Another graduate of the school, Juliet Papa, served as the emcee for the evening. She graduated in 1974 and is now a reporter with 1010 WINS.
