Help nab ‘F’ train pickpocket

Detectives from the Queens Central Robbery Transit Squad are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect depicted in surveillance photos.

On Sunday May 17, at about 9:30 a.m., the suspect removed the victim’s wallet while he was on the 179th Street “F” line subway platform in Jamaica.

Shortly afterward, the suspect used the victim’s ATM card at the MetroCard vending machine at the Parsons Boulevard-Archer Avenue “E” line subway station to purchase a MetroCard.

The suspect is described as a black male, 35- to 40-years-old, approximately six-feet tall, wearing a black jacket, light colored pants, light baseball cap and carrying a black back pack.

Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of this individual is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477.)
