Joining forces to give back

The International Society of SS Cosma and Damiano honored New York Families for Autistic Children, Inc. (NYFAC) at their 17th Annual Dinner Dance at Roma View Catering with a donation of $3,000.
Board Members Joseph De Candia, Jr., President; Michael Mannarino, VP;, John Calcagnile, Secretary; Sal Pace, Treasurer; Clara DeCandia, Chairperson; and Stella Pepi, Recording Secretary were all on hand to present the donation to Andrew Baumann, NYFAC President and CEO, who accepted on behalf of the families of NYFAC.
SS Cosma and Damiano are the patron saints of physicians and pharmacists.
NYFAC was introduced to the International Society of SS Cosma and Damiano through their mutual board member, Guy Maltese, who recognized the similar missions of both organizations to help those in need.
NYFAC and SS Cosma and Damiano have also joined forces to support the 1st Annual South Queens Juvenile Diabetes Walk-A-Thon to Cure Diabetes that will take the Howard Beach community on a 5K Walk on Saturday, May 30.
