A 31-year-old man, identified as Michael Chatfield, who was shot twice in the torso at 24th Street and 20th Avenue on Sunday, October 18, drove himself to Astoria General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
There are no suspect(s) and no arrest(s) at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
