A 15-year-old girl was killed and her 18-year-old boyfriend injured when they were hit by a car – which remained on the scene – on Thursday, October 8.
The incident reportedly happened when the pair tried to cross 17th Road and Francis Lewis Boulevard. EMS responded and took Angela Ambrose, 15, who went to Bayside High School, and Terrence Semler, 18, to New York Hospital Queens. A preliminary investigation determined that a white 2000 Isuzu Rodeo, driven by a 65-year-old man, was traveling northbound on Francis Lewis Boulevard when it struck the two, who were crossing. Police say that there is no criminality suspected at this time.
