String of pharmacy robberies

The NYPD?is looking for a pair of suspects they say are responsible for holding up several pharmacies in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan between April 8 and November 6.

In each incident the armed perpetrators enter the locations with their faces covered. One then goes behind the counter and takes cash and drugs from the back offices. The suspects then flee the locations on foot.

The first incident occurred on Monday, April 8 inside the Briarwood Pharmacy at 138-28 86th Avenue where the suspects displayed a firearm and demanded money and narcotics. The pharmacist complied by placing the items in a backpack the suspects were carrying. They fled the location on foot.

The next three robberies occurred in Manhattan and Brooklyn. On Sunday, May 24, the perps hit the CVS?Pharmacy at 170-05 Linden Boulevard, but fled before taking any property. That same day, they took cash from Franhill Drugs, Inc., located at 204-19 Hillside Avenue. Over the next few months, according to police, the perps held up pharmacies in the city and Brooklyn.

The most recent incident was on Friday, November 6, when the perps hit Fair Deal Pharmacy, at 39-11 104th Street. This time, police say, they fled in a black vehicle.

The suspects are described as in their 20s and 30s. They are both approximately 5’11" tall and weigh 165 pounds. There were no reported injuries in any of the incidents.

Anyone with information regarding the perps’ identities is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
