101st Precinct
On Wednesday, March 17, at Beach 12th Street and the Boardwalk, uniformed officers on patrol observed three male Hispanics on the beach and upon further investigation, the officers discovered 25-year-old with multiple stab wounds to his body.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel responded to the location and pronounced the victim, identified as Mario Alberto Canton Quijada, dead on the scene. The three men – Diego Marroquin, 19; Heriberto Martinez, 23; and Roger Alvarado, 30, were arrested. Charges include murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon.
