Shooter still sought

The man wanted for fatally shooting 41-year-old John Giampetruzzi is still on the lam, say police.

On Saturday July 24, police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting shots fired at 22-16 28th Street. Upon their arrival, they saw Giampetruzzi, of Glen Cove, shot multiple times in the head.

The man, who reportedly had an extensive record, was pronounced dead on the scene.
