Over 50 Queens restaurants so far have decided to participate this year’s restaurant week and more are on their way. Michelle Stoddart – Director of Marketing and Tourism at the Queens Economic Development Corporation – will soon have each of the participating restaurants listed online at discoverqueens.info and also at queenscourier.com.
“We expect a large turn out with a lot of new restaurants participating,” said Stoddart. “Restaurant week is reaching more neighborhoods, more ethnic restaurants . . . we are excited to offer more choices.”
New restaurants like Tuscan Hills in Forest Hills are also enthusiastic about the special menu they have in the works at discounted prices.
“It’s going to be big,” said partner Marco Delpeschio. “We are more than happy to participate and increase our business.”
The formal announcement for the Discovery Queens Restaurant Week will take place at Queens Borough Hall on September 14 at 10 a.m. where guests will be able to part-take in a mini-tasting of various participating restaurants.
