Tornadoes bring free tickets

Mets fans have weathered a disappointing season and lackluster play all year – now they are being rewarded – but not for enduring their club’s sub .500 record.

The New York Mets announced that, because of the wicked weather, all tickets from the September 16 game against the Pittsburgh Pirates can be redeemed for complimentary tickets to one of the September 27-30 games against the Milwaukee Brewers. This includes paid, complimentary and tickets marked “No Rain Check.”

Even fans who braved the storm and actually attended the game despite the tornado force winds and collapsing trees throughout Queens are entitled to tickets for the series against the Brewers.

Tickets can be redeemed in person at the Citi Field Bullpen Ticket Windows on 126th Street, starting 2 ½ hours prior to game time on September 27, 28, 29 or 30 only, and tickets are subject to availability.
