Five rising stars in the Queens business sector will share their strategies for success in a tough economic climate as well as their visions for the future at a free business forum hosted by Queens College.
Steve Chen, Executive Vice President for Crystal Window & Door Systems; Olga Jobe, Senior Project Manager for Common Ground; Benjamin Levine, Assistant Vice President for Douglaston Development; Jerry Pi, Director of Pi Capital Partners, LLC; and Patricia Flores, President of Publimax Printing Corp. will take center stage at a breakfast on Friday October 15, beginning at 8 a.m. in the fourth floor ballroom of Queens College’s Student Union.
"We have recently changed the format of the business forum to include a mix of panel discussions with our original design of keynote speakers,” said Elizabeth Hendrey, Queens College Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences. “The panel discussions will present a variety of viewpoints on issues of importance to Queens. The October 15 panel, ‘Visions for the Future,’ will bring together rising business leaders from all parts of the borough."
The Queens College Business Forum was launched in the fall of 2005 and designed to bring together the business community, local government, academia and students to provide an opportunity for town and gown to interact.
Influential leaders in a number of fields serve as keynote speakers at series of breakfast lectures, touching on issues vital to the Queens business community. The forum’s theme this year, looking toward the future, is reflected in the subject matter of the seminars.
The Queens Borough President’s Office, Queens Chamber of Commerce, The Queens Courier, Queens Economic Development Corp., Farrell Fritz P.C., PricewaterhouseCoopers and TD Bank sponsor the forum.
