Atlas Park has a new owner

According to Councilmember Elizabeth Crowley, Macerich, the owners of the Queens Center Mall, will be managing the Shops at Atlas Park by the end of February.

“We can finally move forward with developing Glendale’s own shopping center,” Crowley said.

The Shops went to auction on January 28, after being foreclosed on in Januray 2009.

Atlas Park is a 21 acre open-air shopping and entertainment center located on Cooper Avenue in Glendale and is home to over 50 stores, businesses and restaurants.
