With regard to the story about immigrants needing better drug labels: How about Learning English! Here 10 years and still can’t understand English? I’ll bet these "immigrants" don’t have an English problem determining and /or identifying money, welfare, food stamps and "rights."
I think everything should be in one language – ENGLISH! You come to America of your own free will and if you won’t learn the language or accept the customs then go back to your own country where you won’t face these problems.
My grandparents legally immigrated to America at the turn of the 20th century. They both learned English and made sure that all my aunts and uncles did the same. The trouble is that the "immigrants" of today demand that society change its basic foundations to accommodate their beliefs, customs and desires: they have no intention of blending into American society!
New York City had to pass an ordinance to force business signs to be posted in English.
