Approximately 800 people mingled and networked over appletinis and cosmopolitans at Terrace on the Park on May 19; an evening honoring ‘man’ and ‘woman’ of the year, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly and Fox 5 reporter Tai Hernandez. Both honorees helped present the 40 Top Women with their awards, including Claire Shulman Award winner Charlotte Jefferson; Rookies of the Year, Katie and Kourtney Mueller, and the Health Professional Awards for Cynthia Pan and Kathy Huang.
“I was very honored to be chosen as a Top Woman in Business,” said Helen Keit, licensed real estate associates broker for Keller Williams. “I was really glad to be in the presence of such wonderful women.”
“We are making plans to continue to get together,” continued Keit regarding the 40 Top Women at a future luncheon. “I think we all recognized that we can learn a lot from each other.”
The night was also an overwhelming success for the Queens Boy Scouts of America who will receive a $2,500 donation from sold raffles. JetBlue Airways also raffled off two round-trip tickets to wherever they fly.
The evening’s sponsors included Bombardier, TD Bank, PSCH Inc., Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care & Rehabilitation, Flushing Bank, Community National Bank, The New York Daily News, Con Edison, NY1 News and Queens County Savings Bank.
