Second Soccer match at Citi Field

After the success of the first ever soccer game at Citi Field between Greece and Ecuador, the New York Mets have announced that they will be kicking around another match in July.
Two soccer powerhouses, Juventus FC and Club America, will square off on Tuesday, July 26 as part of the Herbalife World Football Challenge – a soccer event featuring some of the biggest and best-known international clubs and teams from Major League Soccer competing in nearly a dozen cities across North America from July 13 to August 6.
Juventus, the 27-time Italian champs travel to Queens with new manager Antonio Conte and a quintet of squad members from Italy’s 2006 World Cup championship squad: Alessandro del Piero, Gianlugi Buffon, Fabio Grosso, Luca Toni and Vincenzo Iaquinta.
Club America, playing an attack-style, boast skilled footballers Vicente Vuoso (17 goals this season) and Angel Reyna (14 goals).

The Juventus-Club America game comes on the heels of last week’s 1-1 tie between the national teams of Ecuador and Greece in front of a near-sellout crowd of 39,656 for the inaugural soccer match at the home of the New York Mets.
