As a resident of Glendale since a young boy, I find the loss of Borders Books at the Shops at Atlas Park disturbing. Borders has announced it will be closing its doors forever soon. I am the author of three books – In The Forest By The Light Of Day, On Both Sides Of The Fence and my novel Something In The Neighborhood of Real. For the release of my novel, I had a wonderful experience at a reading and signing party held at the Atlas Borders Books store. I consider the closing of the store to be another example of our modern times.
