Cycle-4-a-Cure raised $1G

Gold’s Gym in Howard Beach held its second annual cycle-a-thon on August 10, raising a total of $1,000 for the American Cancer Society. Each year the staff and members of Gold’s Gym form a team for Howard Beach’s Relay for Life.
This year they have started early in their fundraising in memory of dear friend and co-worker Mary Napolitano, who passed away on June 2 after a long battle with cancer. Napolitano walked and held fundraisers each year with her team to fight for a cure.
This year the team name was chosen from another one of Napolitano’s passions, step aerobics, which she taught at Gold’s Gym for 18 years.
STEP IT UP team captain, Gold’s Gym Manager Justine Orr, team members Kelly Grogan, Sharon Murphy and Claudia McCabe will be hosting many events throughout the next year.
