Jay Parker has helped run Ben’s Best, a delicatessen that has been in his family since it was founded in 1945,for the past 31 years. Growing up in Queens,Parker attended Francis Lewis High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Binghamton University and his M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Parker spent several years working on Wall Street before joining his family’s business, a job he says he enjoys just as much now as he did on his first day of work. According to Parker, his dream of achievement and his sense of self worth is what drives him to succeed. Parker is on the board of directors of the Rego Park Jewish Center and the Pave the Way Foundation. He is also a former president of both the Rego Park Lions
Club and the Rego Park Merchants Association. He has been married for 29 years to his wife, Rachel, with whom he has two children,David, 27, and Allyson, 24
