The next meeting of Community Board 5 will take place this Wednesday night, Jan. 11, in Middle Village.
As announced by District Manager Gary Giordano, the session will take place beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of Christ the King Regional High School, located at 68-02 Metropolitan Ave.
Topping the agenda will be a public hearing regarding an application submitted to the Board of Standards and Appeals by Ridgedale Realty Company LLC for a special spermit to allow the creation of a physical culture establishment within part of a one-story building at 65-45 Otto Rd. in Glendale. The building is located within an M1-1 manufacturing district (block 3667, lot 625).
Thereafter, the board will proceed with its regular meeting, which includes the public forum, a chairperson’s report, a review of demolition notices and liquor license applications and a report by the district manager.
During the session, the board will also review a list of street festival applications for 2012.
Board committees will also file reports during next Wednesday’s session. Among them is the Zoning and Land Use Committee, which will make a recommendation regarding a BSA application allowing for the completion of the construction of a multi-use building at 68-10 58th Ave. in Maspeth.
