Four-car Expressway Crash Injures Pair

Two people were rushed by paramedics to a local hospital after being injured in a four-car pileup on the Long Island Expressway near Flushing Meadows- Corona Park early last Saturday morning, Feb. 18, it was reported. Fire Department sources said the accident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. along the expressway’s eastbound lanes near the Grand Central Parkway. Members of Engine companies 324 and 289; Ladder companies 136 and 138; Battalion 46; the 110th and 112th precincts and EMS units responded to the scene. The victims were treated for injuries not considered to be life-threatening, an FDNY source said.
